After some rumours and leaks, it’s finally been revealed that GTA V is free to download and own for good on the Epic Game Store right now. Unfortunately, due to popular demand, the Epic Games Store is a bit broken right about now, but fortunately you have until May 21st to download to game to own.

Epic have been adding free games to their service for months now, with a limited window to redeem said game, but GTA V is easily the biggest game that’s been involved in the service yet. No matter your thoughts on the Epic Games Store, this is a big get for the platform, and a bargain for consumers.
Those who are planning on downloading and playing GTA V now and heading into GTA Online should probably look out for the purple vs green alien turf war that’s enveloped the entire game. No one wants to be caught in the crossfire.
