Google Stadia Launching November 19th

"Dread it, run from it. Destiny arrives all the same."

Stadia

Google have announced that their ambitious streaming platform Stadia will be launching on November 19th for those who have pre-ordered the Founder’s Edition, with players able to purchase and play games like Red Dead Redemption 2, Mortal Kombat 11, Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey and many more on your TV, laptop, phone, tablet and other supported devices.

Both the Founder’s Edition and Premiere Edition will ship in the order they were pre-ordered, so if you’ve already put your name down for one of these packages, you should be good to go by November 19th. When the package ships, you’ll receive a code to activate your Stadia account and Stadia Pro.

Both editions of Google Stadia available in November will include three months of Stadia Pro, the subscription service that allows you to stream games in 4K/HDR and surround sound, along with free game and game purchase discounts. It also comes with Destiny 2: The Collection, so I guess destiny really does arrive all the same.

While a solid release date for the streaming platform is great to hear, it still remains to be seen whether or not Stadia will be the paradigm shift that Google are hoping for within the gaming industry. Either way, we’ll find out next month.
