GonzoFest 2015 – The Hunter S. Thompson Festival

Louisville, Kentucky is celebrating the legacy of Hunter S. Thompson for its fifth year on April 11, 2015! The festival will be happening at the Harbor Lawn of Waterfront Park.

The lineup consists of 1200, Them’s Live, Graffiti, Twin Limb, Thirty Spokes, Vessel, and Small Time Napoleon.
The genres of these kickass local bands range from psychedelic funk, jazz rock, experimental hip-hop, to garage band among others.

The festival will feature music, craft vendors, live art, and spoken word performances. Liquor, wine, and beer will be served as well as food. Want to try your hand at the Gonzo-themed art contest? Now let’s talk Bill Murray, who portrayed Thompson in Where The Buffalo Roam. A viral video campaign urging Bill Murray to attend this year’s festival is making the rounds and they are calling it Bill To The Ville! Even the mayor of Louisville has gotten behind #billtotheville.

The team behind GonzoFest has also launched an IndieGoGo campaign to support the creation of a bronze statue of the Louisville native, Hunter S. Thompson as well as benefit The Gonzo Foundation.
