God Of War Finally Coming To PC In January 2022

PC BOY.

God of War

It’s been a long time coming, but PlayStation and Santa Monica Studio have announced that God of War will finally be coming to PC on January 14th, 2022, with a host of PC exclusive features to boot. Check out the official PC announcement trailer at the top of the page.

What Can We Expect From The PC Version Of God Of War?

The PC release of God of War will include the full story of the original game, with players controlling Kratos as he tries to guide his son, Atreus, to the top of a mountain to scatter his mother’s ashes. Unfortunately, a bunch of Norse gods decide to take umbrage with that, leading to some tense showdowns.

As for PC exclusive features, God of War will include 4K visuals and unlocked framerates for peak performance, NVIDIA DLSS and Reflex support to boost performance on NVIDIA GPUs, full controls customisation with support for DualShock and Dualsense controllers, along with ultrawide monitor support. You can check out the Steam page for more info.

How Successful Has God Of War Been Before The PC Launch?

In a PlayStation Blog post about the announcement, it’s revealed by Santa Monica Studio’s senior community manager Grace Orlady that God of War has managed to sell 19.5m copies on PlayStation alone as of August 2021. No doubt the game will managed to reach 20 million copies sold by the time to the PC version launches, only to achieve even more success in 2022 with the PC release and God of War: Ragnarok.
