Video games sure are weird, huh? Ubisoft have just unveiled a new teaser trailer for a special event in Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands titled “The Hunt”, where cartel members are being picked off by an unseen force before- wait, was that the Predator noise?!

Yes, it looks like Bolivia is the next stop on Predator’s long running hunting expedition. The trailer gives us plenty of flashbacks to the original 1987 classic, with flayed corpses, Predator thermal vision and that damn noise all featuring within the trailer.

How this mode will work or feature into gameplay is unknown at the moment, but today Ubisoft will be running a Twitch stream detailing the event. The stream is scheduled to start around noon EST, so you’ve only got a few hours to wait, and the event itself is due to start on December 14th.

This is far from the first time that Predator has been featured in video games, with the most recent being as a DLC character in NetherRealm’s Mortal Kombat X. The alien hunter has also been featured in Call of Duty: Ghosts, a bunch of Alien vs Predator games and even got a starring role in Predator: Concrete Jungle.

Are you exciting for this event? What movie aliens would you like to see turn up in other Ubisoft games? We’ve got our money on Xenomorphs turning up in The Division and Pod People/Bodysnatchers in Assassin’s Creed: Origins. Check out the official teaser trailer and let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
