If you’ve been waiting patiently for more news on Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, you’re finally in luck, as Sucker Punch have confirmed that the new mode for the PS4 exclusive will launch on October 16th as a free update to all players. Check out the update’s official trailer above.
Wait, A Free Update?
On October 16th, Sucker Punch are launching Version 1.1, a comprehensive new update for their samurai epic that adds plenty of new content to the game, such as the aforementioned Legends. The new update will also introduce New Game+ to the game, with players picking up after Jin’s first meeting with the Khan, only with all their items from the completed save. The difficulty is upped a bit, and players can utilise a new horse, new upgrades for your weapons and some devastating charms, along with some new trophies.
The version 1.1 update also introduces the Ghost Flower Merchant, a New Game+ exclusive feature that allows players to earn Ghost Flowers in lieu of Tales and activity rewards that have already been claimed. These Flowers can be taken to a special merchant in Ariake, who can equip you with special dyes and vanity gear that can only be found in New Game+.
Alright, But What’s Legends Again?
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is a free multiplayer mode that sees players team up with up to three others, depending on the mode, to take on hordes of demons as one of four classes. As either a Samurai, Hunter, Ronin or Assassin, you can take on story missions with another player, or survival missions and a special raid with three others. The raid is set to launch a few weeks after Legends, so you’ve got time to get your practice in. More details were revealed about the game mode over at the PlayStation Blog, if you can’t wait until October 16th.
