When you first land on Iki island in Ghost of Tsushima, you will need to find your horse, who has wandered away from the shore.

To find them, you will need to start the A Lost Friend quest; find it on your map slightly to the north of where you start.

Once you start the quest, follow the tracks by using R2 to examine them until you come across a guy who says he was saved by your horse.

Follow the tracks up a muddy path and you will eventually find your horse taking on some Mongols; help the horse out. Approach your horse after defeating the Mongols and press R2 to be reacquainted with them.

You will also learn Horse Charge, a powerful technique on horseback that uses Resolve and knocks down enemies when pressing L1.

To finish the A Lost Friend quest, simply charge down some Mongols and then save one more guy from their clutches.

If you ever lose sight of your horse again, you can just press left on the d-pad to call them to you.

Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut is available now on PS5 and PS4.
