EA and DICE have just gone a long way towards allaying everyone’s fears about the new Battlefront game by showcasing the awesome new ‘Fighter Squadron’ mode at this year’s Gamescon.

Star Wars is nothing if not a wide, expansive galaxy which caters to the needs of almost every geek and nerd out there, from lightsaber duels to all-out battles in space. The latter is exactly what we’re getting from the new mode and it looks freaking amazing.

The premise is simple: blow the other team up in style. Playing as the Rebel Alliance, you must hunt down and destroy an Imperial shuttle but play as the opposing team and it’s your duty to protect it. All the ships will be different from the next, giving you a different playstyle each time.

Available craft: X-Wing, TIE Fighter, A-Wings, TIE Interceptors, the Millennium Falcon, and Slave I.

Star Wars Battlefront will be released on November 17th. You can pre-order it over here.
