Free-To-Play Battle Royale Spellbreak Launches Today On All Platforms

Well, all platforms except Stadia, but that's no big loss.

Spellbreak

If you’re getting a bit sick of the usual battle royales that are currently on offer, or if you’re like me and you just can’t seem to get a win on Fall Guys, Proletariat’s new free-to-play magic-based battle royale Spellbreak might just be right up your alley, as it launches today on PC, PS4, Xbox One and the Nintendo Switch. Check out the trailer below.

Players will be able to pick from a variety of different classes, with unique abilities and opportunities for spell combinations that can really devastate your opposition. There’s also equipment to loot that allows you to teleport, fly, become invisible and more, which can really turn the tide against your opponents, all with an art style that looks absolutely delightful.

While Spellbreak might struggle to gain ground in a battle royale genre that’s getting more and more crowded as the days go on, Spellbreak’s magic-based approach to the formula could offer something genuinely fresh. It also helps that Spellbreak offers consumer friendly options like cross-play and cross-progression, meaning you’ll be able to play with everyone and take your unlocks and customisation with you.

Will you be getting involved with Spellbreak as it launches today on all major platforms? Let us know in the comments.
