Fortnite v5.41 Adds Port-A-Fortress, Fixes Console Editing Time

Just before Fortnite season 6 begins (and the annoying meta that will no doubt accompany it), Epic have released what is almost certainly the final patch for season 5. v5.41 brings with it a new item, LTM, and a much requested improvement for console builders.

The Port-A-Fortress will be available in the game once the downtime has finished and it is of the Legendary variety. It towers over the Port-A-Fort like basically every other person towers over me, so I can’t wait to be dunked on regularly in squads because of it.

A new LTM has also been added, though it is just a solo variation on an older one. Soaring Solos allows players to redeploy their gliders when falling, meaning that skybases et al are viable, as well as all manner of mad plays. No mention of your stats being tracked, so just assume they aren’t.

The next most important update to come from v5.41 is the tweaking to edit times on console. Previously, players have felt that they cannot compete with PC players when it comes to editing because of the need to to hold circle to edit whereas PC players can just press a button. Players using Builder Pro, which is most people these days, will find the wait reduced from 0.25s to 0.15s; every other configuration sees a reduction from 2.5s to 2.0s.

There are a whole bunch of other fixes for v5.41, including that annoying delay between consuming shields. For all the info on the new patch, be sure to check it out on the official Epic Games website.
