Fortnite v4.3 Brings Shopping Carts, Mushrooms, Refunds, Blitz & More

Fortnite shopping cart

Downtime for v4.3 of Fortnite Battle Royale has started with the patch including some huge changes for the game. The long-awaited and teased shopping carts will finally be added to the game, along with the return of the refund system. Will there be anything else for people to complain about on Twitter after this?

The shopping carts will be available from select areas on the map and will allow up to two players to ride them. Passengers can shoot while their friend drives, so expect plenty of memes to be born from this new addition. Fall damage is enabled, so maybe don’t channel your inner Tony Hawk when you go up a ramp.

The refund system is also finally being re-introduced after exploits have seemingly been addressed. The system allows players to return items they’ve paid for with V-Bucks to put towards other cosmetic items. I’ve been waiting for this one for a while, if only to finally make a dent in the Battle Pass.

Much like the newly introduced apples, mushrooms will allow players to replenish their shields. These foraged items are available throughout the map and will grant five shield points up to a maximum of 100. They may just save your ass.

Two LTMs will be coming to v4.2 with the return of the universally beloved Blitz and Teams of 20. From the patch notes, Blitz seems like it will be quicker than ever and Teams of 20 will also have a few refinements. Stats are tracked in Blitz and the same goes for Teams of 20, except for wins.

There’s plenty more to come in v4.3 of Fortnite, including changes to editing on console, streamer mode privacy, deeper optimisation on the game, faster Turbo Building, and much more. For all the patch notes, including changes to Save the World, check out the official blog over here.
