Alongside the arrival of iconic Star Wars characters to the game, the v22.30 update for Fortnite has brought another pop culture icon to the island: Pickle Rick from Rick & Morty.
While perhaps a few years too late for maximum meme potential, Pickle Rick is up for grabs as a Back Bling in Fortnite for completing quests in Horde Rush, a PVE mode for the Halloween season in which teams take on Cube Monsters and try to outlast waves of enemies right up until the final boss, the Storm King. It’s great, simple fun, and is even better when you have the hook of a free cosmetic for playing it.
Here’s how you can unlock the Pickle Rick Back Bling in Fortnite for free.
Fortnite Pickle Rick Quests
To unlock the Pickle Rick Back Bling in Fortnite, players have to complete eight of the following quests while playing Horde Rush:
– Collect score multipliers (20)
– Deal melee damage to Cube Monster spawners (6000)
– Earn 2 million combined team points
– Earn a Team Score of at least 350,0000 in a single match
– Earn a x50 KO Streak
– Eliminate Cube Monsters (500)
– Eliminate ranged Cube Monsters with Sideways weapons (100)
– Get headshots on Cube Monsters in a single match (70)
– Open chests in Horde Rush (45)
Players can also earn 20K XP to put towards their Battle Pass for completing each of these Horde Rush quests.
All of them are fairly straightforward, they will just take plenty of time to unlock as it doesn’t look like a single one of them can be completed in one match. Expect to be grinding away for quite a while in Horde Rush.

Players have until November 15th, 2022 to complete the Horde Rush quests and unlock Pickle Rick as a Back Bling in Fortnite.
Bear in mind that the Pickle Rick Back Bling may also be sold in the Fortnite Item Shop at some point in the future.
