Fortnite: Chapter 5 may well be the biggest chapter launch in Fortnite history, with a brand new map, tonnes of mechanics, and even three brand new modes to get stuck into. One of those three modes is Fortnite Festival, which will also herald the debut of The Weeknd as a skin.
The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, is one of the biggest recording acts in the world with plenty of massive hits to his name, with his ‘Starboy’ album being one of the most revered albums of the 2010s. You may also remember him from ‘Blinding Lights,’ a song that became a major meme during the early days of TikTok, and now he’s set to become an even bigger meme by appearing in Fortnite.
If you Can’t Feel Your Face in anticipation of The Weeknd dropping into Fortnite, here’s everything you need to know about his debut in the game, including both of his skins.
Fortnite The Weeknd Skin
The Fortnite Weeknd skins are going to be available in multiple different styles, one simply called The Weeknd and one called The Weeknd Combat which has three different styles, all of which you can see above. In the normal The Weeknd skin he’s wearing a bright red suit jacket and leather gloves that seems similar to the outfit he wore for the cover of his 2020 album ‘After Hours.’ The Weeknd Combat meanwhile has multiple styles that you can check out above.
He will also have a couple of emotes:

You can check out everything that’s included in the set below.
Fortnite The Weeknd Skin Price
Fortnite Festival will have its very own Battle Pass that will have both a paid and free track. The regular Weeknd skin will be a reward for the Premium Pass, with players able to unlock him by spending Festival Point from completing Fortnite Festival quests. The pass costs 1800 V-Bucks, just less than double the cost of the Battle Pass, but you do get all sorts of other cosmetics and a skin that would likely cost 1500 V-Bucks if sold in the shop. Not to mention you also get tracks to use within Fortnite Festival.
The Weeknd Combat, meanwhile, has ended up releasing in the Item Shop, with the skin itself setting you back 1800 V-Bucks.
Fortnite The Weeknd Skin Release Date
The Weeknd skins are due to release in Fortnite alongside or just before the launch of Fortnite Festival, which is scheduled for Saturday, December 9th, 2023. The Weeknd is the marquee name attached to the brand new mode, but there are actually tonnes of very famous songs that players will be able to experience in rotation within Fortnite Festival.
Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android.
