Fortnite: Season 8 ranks among the craziest in terms of what Epic has added in, but it’s also just as wild for the items that have been vaulted.
The following weapons and items have been vaulted in Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 8, according to reputable leaker Hypex:
– Hand Cannon (Deagle)
– Tactical Shotgun
– Heavy Assault Rifle (AK)
– Suppressed Submachine Gun (Silenced SMG)
The above applies to all rarities.
The biggest shock here is the fact that the Tactical Shotgun in all its rarities has been vaulted once again. The Tac was rarely ever vaulted, but these days it feels like it is getting vaulted more than it’s actually in the game.
However, considering that there are plenty of different shotguns already in the game, it makes sense that at least one had to go.
The other vaulted weapons honestly aren’t huge losses. The Hand Cannon simply doesn’t work in the meta of Fortnite these days, it doesn’t hit hard enough and is just too slow. The Heavy Assault Rifle, meanwhile, is an acquired taste, so it’s doubtful that many people will miss it all that much.
Bear in mind, though, that just because a weapon has been vaulted, it doesn’t mean that it will never return. Sometimes even weapons that are vaulted at the start of the season will return by the end. Alongside the overtime weeks adding old items all the time, it doesn’t matter quite as much what is vaulted and unvaulted in Fortnite these days.
