Fortnite Season 6 Map Changes, Shadow Stones, Vaulted Weapons & More

Fortnite Season 6

Fortnite season 6 is just about to get underway once it comes out of maintenance, but Epic Games have already let us know some of the things we should expect.

The most important change is what they’ve done to the map following the rising of the house on Loot Lake thanks to the cube. You can check out the overview of it below:

There have been locations added, including the following:

Floating Island
Corrupted Areas
Corn Fields
Haunted Castle

Epic did say, however, that there are more to uncover, so we’ll just have to wait and see and drop in when we can. Could this mean the bunker will finally open in Wailing Woods? Probably not.

Also added for season 6 are Shadow Stones: consumables that allow you to go invisible at the expense of not being able to use your weapons. This is the seasonal consumable we get each season, but nothing will ever top Hop Rocks.

Most controversially of all, however, is what Epic Games have vaulted for Fortnite season 6. Weapons going in the vault doesn’t necessarily mean that they are gone for good, but it’s still a shock to see the Impulse Grenade, Suppressed Submachine Gun, Light Machine Gun, Bouncer, and Remote Explosives all being taken out of the game, especially the Bouncer.

For all the info, be sure to check out Epic’s official update.
