Fortnite Season 5: Flint-Knock Pistol Stats & Location

The Content Gun is back.

Flint-Knock Pistol

One of the most fun weapons from Chapter 1 is now back for Chapter 2 in Fortnite: the Flint-Knock Pistol. While it’s appeared at some point over the course of the game’s second chapter, here’s hoping it stays around around for a little longer this time.

Ostensibly a single-fire shotgun, the Flint-Knock Pistol is a super strong weapon that’s pretty much designed for content. Known for being a risk and reward item, the Flint-Knock Pistol takes a little bit of getting used to, but once you do, it’s among the best guns in Fortnite.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Flint-Knock Pistol in Fortnite: Chapter 2 – Season 5, which was first introduced in Chapter 1 – Season 8.

The Flint-Knock is one of Fortnite’s most fun weapons, it doing a pretty decent 90 damage per hit.

However, that’s not really what’s so great about it. When stood up, it propels you backwards due to the power of the blast and will also do the same to any enemies. This means that you have to be super careful when using it high up, otherwise you may go down to fall damage.

This isn’t all bad, though. The Flint-Knock can propel you upwards to allow you to reach high ground, especially if you have them to use one after the other. Similarly, if you shoot it just before you land, you can negate fall damage.

The only thing going against it is its super long reload speed at three seconds, which means that the Flint-Knock Pistol is most effective when you have more than one so you can swap between them, as already mentioned.

The Flint-Knock Pistol can be found pretty often as an Uncommon item. We’ve found it as floor loot within houses and everywhere where loot usually spawns, as well as inside chests. It shouldn’t spawn in Supply Drops as it isn’t really a rare item, though it’s possible.

Undoubtedly one of the best guns to use for content in Fortnite, the Flint-Knock is easily one of the most broadly beloved items in the game. Here’s hoping Epic keep it in the game for a lot longer, though it will certainly be around until the end of Season 5.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
