Fortnite: Season 2 Unvaults The Drum Shotgun, Thermal Scoped AR & More

Drum Shotgun

As sure as the sun rises and sets, the Fortnite community demands the return of the Pump Shotgun after it’s been vaulted for the fiftieth time while Epic tries to figure out how to get everyone to not use just one weapon. It’s not back just yet, but a whole host of other items are.

Here’s everything that we’ve noticed that’s coming back to Fortnite and being unvaulted, including weapons and items.

– Burst Assault Rifle (Striker Burst Rifle)
– C4
– Pump Shotgun
– Revolver
– Shockwave Grenade
– Thermal Scoped Assault Rifle

The Pump Shotgun is probably the biggest unvaulting that players are waiting for, as it has been the last five times it’s been removed from the game and added back in. It’s the most popular weapon ever added to Fortnite by far, but it’s not part of Season 2. The Striker Pump Shotgun  was an interesting attempt to do something different, but it just didn’t hit hard enough for most fans.

The Burst Assault Rifle makes a return in the form of the Striker Burst Rifle, which has seen a few tweaks as well.

C4 is the next biggest item, with it doing huge explosive damage to builds and vehicles. Older players will remember just how overpowered they were at one point, so it will be interesting to see what they’re like in Chapter 3.

The Revolver is a classic weapon that is fine but not anyone’s favourite weapon, while the Thermal AR will probably make use of weapon mods to be far better than it ever was before. Finally, the Shockwave Grenade is the best mobility item in the game, though here’s hoping it doesn’t get spammed quite so hard as it did in the latter stages of Chapter 2.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
