Following a first successful promotion in 2020, Epic are bringing back Fortnite‘s Reboot a Friend for 2021 to give free cosmetics for those who manage to bring old players back to the game.
It’s a pretty smart move from Epic as it not only gives devoted players an easy way to earn free goodies, but it may also be enough to bring older players back into the game. It doesn’t cost anyone a penny, and Fortnite is worth playing at the minute, if only to see how vastly different it is these days.

Reboot A Friend 2021 Sign-Up
First off, you need to make sure you are signed in at fn.gg/RebootAFriend with your Epic account, which is where you will also be able to choose from a list of friends who haven’t played the game in over a month.
Select whichever friend you like (making sure that they will actually play with you, of course) and then play some matches to earn some points, and ultimately the rewards. If whoever you choose doesn’t play with you, you can then select someone else.
If you don’t have any friends that are eligible, you can just play normally with friends and rack up points. Unfortunately, if you have just one friend who hasn’t played in 30 days or more, you have to play with them to take part in Reboot A Friend 2021.
Reboot A Friend 2021 Rewards
Here’s everything that’s up for grabs for Reboot A Friend 2021:
– Reboot Spray (100 points)
– Heartbeat Wrap (200 points)
– Toxic Flash Glider (300 points)
– Plasma Carrot Pickaxe (400 points)
Bear in mind that these items are not exclusive and may come to the Item Shop at some point down the line.
How Do I Earn Reboot A Friend Points?
You earn 100 points for playing your first game with a lapsed Fortnite friend, which will immediately unlock the Reboot Spray. You will then earn 10 points for every match played together, which means that you will have to play 30 matches together to unlock every reward.
However, you can play with more than one person during Reboot A Friend; three friends in total can help you out over the course of the promotion. If you can somehow get three friends to play Fortnite again, you will unlock everything in 10 or so matches.
When Does Reboot A Friend 2021 Begin and End?
Don’t worry, you have a total of 20 days to take part in the promotion this year. Reboot a Friend 2021 is available from April 6th, 2021 until April 26th, 2021.
