Fortnite: Season 5 is one of the most major new seasons since the start of Chapter 2 because of just how much it changes up the loot pool. One of the new items is also one of the most interesting we’ve seen in a long time: The Mandalorian’s Amban Sniper Rifle.

Adapted from the TV show with the skin himself a part of the game, the Amban Sniper Rifle acts as both a sniper and also a melee weapon. With other snipers being vaulted, this makes the Amban pretty much the go-to sniper for the whole game.

Here’s where you can find the Amban Sniper Rifle in Fortnite Season 5, as well as all of it stats and what it can do.

The Amban Sniper Rifle is a very useful new Mythic in Fortnite that can also be wielded as a melee weapon, dealing 45 damage at a time while also knocking enemies back.

When used as a sniper, it operates very similarly to a Thermal weapon in that you can see the heat signatures of enemies while looking through. It deals 110 damage to the body, which is quite a lot, and it deals 275 headshot damage for a one hit-kill. It’s slow firing and slow to reload, so bear that in mind. It also has quite a sturdy zoom, so it’s not exactly great to zoom in while at close range.

Mandalorian Amban Sniper Rifle Location

The Amban Sniper Rifle can be found after defeating Mando at his Razor Crest ship, which is also a quest for the first week of Season 5. You can find the Razor Crest to the southeast of Colossal Colosseum, check out the video above for its exact location in the game. Here’s where you can also collect The Mandalorian’s Jetpack, another Mythic item.

Mando has 300 HP and is fairly easy to beat as his weapon fires slow and the AI tends to miss. Just keep the pressure up until he his eliminated; he is actually one of the easiest boss characters ever introduced to beat. If you can’t find him, he’s usually pretty close to the Razor Crest if not exactly on top of it.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PS5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
