Fortnite: Chapter 3 – Season 1’s biggest update to date is big in terms of the addition of Tilted Towers once again after years of waiting, but also the biggest animal we’ve ever seen on the map: the Klombos.

Klombos are basically giant pink dinosaurs of sorts that have previously been hinted at with spots across the map showing huge mounds with a mysterious jet of air coming out of them, as well as having previously being teased in Boba Fett’s Loading Screen. Now, with the release of v19.10, Klombos are finally in Fortnite.

Here’s everything you should know about the Klombos in Fortnite, including where they can be found and what they do.

Fortnite Klombos Location

There are two common spawns for the Klombos in Fortnite, both near Tilted Towers, but it does appear that they spawn most frequently at rivers in general. If it doesn’t spawn at one location, it will instead spawn at one of the others.

The first (and most reliable location) is to the near west of Tilted Towers, itself near the center of the map. Find them along the river’s edge in one of the last snowy areas on the map, as of the release of v19.10.

The second common Klombo spawn is also near Tilted Towers, but to the east at the new The Devoured landmark.

The Klombo will patrol all of its areas, but will not stray too far from any of them.

What Does The Klombo Do?

The Klombo is a neutral and docile animal, meaning that it will not attack you unless you attack them first.

Players can climb on top of a Klombo either by using their builds or by jumping on the back of its tail and then walking up. The Klombo has a blowhole that will give glider redeploy as it shoots you up into the air.

Klombos will also hoover up nearby loot and eat it before shooting something random out of their blowhole. We’ve noticed that they tend to blow out higher rarity items than those they eat, even blowing out Legendary items on occasion.

Klombos will only patrol a small area and cannot directly be controlled or guided.

Klomberries are another new item added in v19.10 that work well with Klombos. Giving a Klombo a Klomberry will calm them down if you’ve enraged them by attacking them, but they can also make the Klombo give you items. As well as that, Klomberries will also give you healing once consumed.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
