Following a very welcome return in Fortnite OG after actual years of being out of Battle Royale, many players are probably excited to get their hands back on the Pump Shotgun again in Chapter 5 of Fortnite. Unfortunately for them, they may not be getting their wish.
The Pump Shotgun as we know it is unfortunately not in Chapter 5 – Season 1 of Fortnite, as it has once again been vaulted. Players can still access it in Creative maps, but it is no longer a part of the loot pool for the game’s core modes.
However, we do now have the Hammer Pump Shotgun among the list of new weapons instead, which is a very similar design to that iconic Pump though obviously not quite the same thing.
If you’re sad about the Pump Shotgun being vaulted again in all its rarities, try out the Hammer Pump instead, or jump into any of the many Creative maps that feature it. The classic Pump not being in the core modes right now doesn’t mean it will never come back, and it’s likely to come back in 2024 when Fortnite OG also returns.
