Even Fortnite‘s biggest critics have to give it credit for positioning itself as one of the biggest cross-media properties on the planet to help them constantly reach new audiences. While it may not make a tonne of sense to everyone, particularly those over a certain age, Khaby Lame coming to the game as an Icon Series skin will help to bring in the fanbase of the most popular creator on TikTok.

Khabane “Khaby” Lame is a 23 year old Senegalese-born Italian content creator who rose to fame during the pandemic for his signature hand gesture. He has been TikTok’s most followed creator since June 2022, and he now has a quite staggering 161.7m followers on TikTok and 80 million on Instagram. For comparison, Ninja, Fortnite’s most iconic creator, has 12.2m followers on Instagram. But how exactly do you unlock Khaby Lame in Fortnite?

To unlock Khaby Lame in Fortnite, players must first purchase the Chapter 4 – Season 4 Battle Pass. The Battle Pass can be purchased with either 950 V-Bucks, or a subscription to Fortnite Crew, which also gives you 1000 V-Bucks each month.

Once purchased, players must then reach Level 70 and Page 11 on the Battle Pass, with his emote, Point & Shoot, also being unlocked on the same page.

To reach Level 70, players can play the game and complete quests to earn XP and Battle Stars which can then be used to purchase individual rewards, or pay extra V-Bucks to unlock them. The prior method is a lot more savvy than the latter, as only really content creators can justify spending that much money on a cosmetic item.

It’s unclear yet whether there are any bonus rewards for Khaby Lame in Fortnite, but we will update this when we know for sure.

Players have until the end of the season to unlock Khaby Lame as part of Season 4, after which he will not be able to be earned in any other way as he is a Battle Pass exclusive. Fortnite may release an alternate version of him as they have done with other Battle Pass skins in the past, particularly those with summer styles, but it’s a little less likely for a content creator. If you’re looking to unlock Khaby in Fortnite, you have until November 3rd, 2023 when Season 4 will end.

Fortnite is free-to-play on PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X | S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Android.
