Fortnite’s 14 Days of Summer event rolls on, bringing with it a new challenge that asks you to track down a giant beach umbrella and huge rubber ducky. Only in Fortnite would that sentence make the slightest bit of sense.

Along with a new challenge every day, 14 Days of Summer also gives Fortnite players the chance to mess around with old weapons that have been temporarily unvaulted, as well as new skins in the Item Shop. Finishing all of your challenges gives you the reward of a lovely Peely drink Back Bling, but you also get a tonne of other goodies for doing each and every challenge 14 Days of Summer has to offer.

Here’s everything you need to know to track down a giant beach umbrella and huge rubber ducky in Fortnite Season 9, bearing in mind that it has to be during the same match.

The above is where the Fortnite rubber ducky is as of July 6th when this challenge first came out. E5 on the Fortnite grid.

At this time of writing, the rubber ducky is a roving object that keeps moving north in the river that connects from the top of the Fortnite map all the way down to the bottom.

This means that although this is where it currently resides as of this writing, it may move further north once again.

Its name pretty much describes it: it’s a giant rubber duck with sunglasses that doesn’t seem to have a set purpose apart from as part of a 14 Days of Summer challenge.

Fortnite Giant Umbrella

The closest giant umbrella lies almost directly east of where the ducky is. F5 on the Fortnite grid.

Luckily, thanks to the slipstreams found in the river bank, you can quite easily get up to the mountain where the giant umbrella resides, also using the Sky Platform to get some height.

Once you get anywhere near the giant umbrella, the challenge will be completed.

This isn’t the most pressing of 14 Days of Summer challenges, especially as both required spots are so close to each other. The only issue is whether or not the ducky will move, it was initially right down at the bottom of the map near Lucky Landing.
