February 2018’s PlayStation Plus Games Available Today

Rime game

If you have a hankering for some beautiful vistas and some of the most mediocre platforming available, you’re in luck. Today’s the day for February 2018’s new free PlayStation Plus games to drop.

The headline act for the month is Tequila Works’ oft-delayed RiME. Curiously, the minimalist adventurer was originally supposed to be a PS4 exclusive and was hardly heard of for a long time before it re-emerged as a multi-platform title. It’s a lovely game that will probably hit you in the emotions, so you should definitely give it a try, especially seeing how it still retails for close to its launch price.

The supporting act is Knack: one of the most middling games of our times. It’s not good, but it’s not bad – it’s the very definition of a five out of ten game. Average to its core, Knack will no doubt appease younger players, but if you want to see something that does everything Knack does but much better, try its sequel instead. It’s not perfect either, but it was good enough that I actually wanted to see how they would turn it into a trilogy.

Everyone, you may need to pour out a cold one — That’s You! is no longer part of the free monthly line-up. You aren’t missing much, but if you act fast, you can still get it until the new games rotate in. Speaking of, if you don’t see February’s games yet, they are typically added around noontime depending on your region.

Here’s the full line-up:

Knack (PS4)
RiME (PS4)
StarBlood Arena (PS Plus bonus – PS VR required)
Spelunker HD (PS3)
Mugen Souls Z (PS3)
Exiles End (PS Vita)
Grand Kingdom (PS Vita & PS4)

What are you looking forward to playing most? Don’t forget that these aren’t technically “free” as you need to be an active Plus subscriber. If you need a good deal on a PS Plus subscription, you can find one here.
