Far Cry: New Dawn Leaked Before The Game Awards

Who ordered more Far Cry?

Far Cry: New Dawn

One of the more surprising announcements leading up to The Game Awards was the reveal of a new Far Cry game. Thanks to various leaks, we now know it is titled Far Cry: New Dawn. It’s set in the post-apocalypse after the ending of Far Cry 5, and it’ll be released on February 15th 2019.

Here’s the official description of Far Cry: New Dawn.

  • Fight to survive in a post-apocalyptic world as you take up arms to fight alongside a friend in online co-op.
  • Lead the fight against the highwaymen and their ruthless leaders, the Twins.
  • Build up your home base and recruit specialists to upgrade it as you unlock all-new features.
  • Battle your enemies for resources in Hope County and around the country as you venture to new locations.
  • Upgrade to the Deluxe Edition to receive additional weapons, outfits, and vehicles.

The details and screenshots seem completely legit, but the release date is iffy. We’ll update the story as we know more. Personally, I think that Ubisoft missed a trick by not calling the game Far Cry 5-2, like it’s a Final Fantasy game, but that’s a whole other story altogether. We’re just happy to revisit Hope County, even if the hope has been blown to bits in a nuclear hellfire.
