No.

Far Cry 6 is a big game with lots of big enemies to face, so death is never too far away. Is there any way you can manual save in Far Cry 6 so you can keep trying the same scenarios in different ways?

The answer is unfortunately no, you cannot manual save in Far Cry 6. The game will just autosave whatever progress you have made, though is very kind with just how much progress it seems to autosave — you will very rarely lose much (if anything) when you die or restart your game. Your game autosaves whenever you make much progress or fast travel; check the document symbols in the top right for when it’s autosaving.

However, it’s still a bit of a pity that you can’t manual save in Far Cry 6 at all. The world is always changing, so it’d be nice to have the option to go back to an earlier version of it with a manual save, kind of like in other open world RPGs like Cyberpunk 2077.

The reason for no manual save is probably because Far Cry 6 is really trying to get you to play with your friends online. The future of Far Cry, and pretty much every franchise, is seemingly online, and manual saves would probably cause a headache.

Far Cry 6 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X | S, and Stadia.
