Far Cry 5 Lets You Build Maps From Some of Ubisoft’s Greatest Hits

We aren’t too far away from the release of Far Cry 5, which has led to Ubisoft dropping the newest trailer to discuss the game’s post-launch content.

Released on March 27th for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, Far Cry 5 will feature a sheriff’s deputy attempt to save the people of Hope County from a false (and quite mad) prophet.

Once your time with the main meat of the game is done, the season pass offers plenty more variety, including the following:

Hours of Darkness: Players will travel back in time to Vietnam to battle against Việt Cộng soldiers and save their fellow soldiers

Dead Living Zombies: Players will team up with friends to fight waves of zombies across seven different scenarios cooked up by a b-movie director

Lost on Mars: Players will leave Earth behind to go toe-to-claws with martian arachnids to save Earth from an alien invasion

As a bonus, Season Pass purchasers will also get Far Cry 3: Classic Edition. The third game in the series is often hailed as the best Far Cry thanks to its unforgettable antagonist in Vaas, so here’s hoping Seed and his cohorts can make just as big an impression.

Above all else, though, it’s the map editor for Far Cry 5 that has me most interested — and you don’t even need the Season Pass to play it.

Using plenty of assets from other Ubisoft games like Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed, you are able to create your own maps that can either be played solo, co-op, or PVP. If you’re proud of your creation, you can even upload it to the wider Far Cry community.

Far Cry 5 launches March 27th.
