Fall Guys’ Platinum Trophy Seems A Little On the Incredibly Hard Side

Available now as part of PlayStation Plus and enjoying an absolutely wild amount of early success, Fall Guys is the Takeshi’s Castle adaptation you didn’t know you needed. It’s also apparently about as hard to finish as the show itself.

Fall Guys has a tonne of trophies for completionists to unlock, ranging from simply falling on your head to collecting cosmetic items and lots of other nonsense in-between. There’s one trophy, Infallible, that looks like it might be the biggest roadblock towards unlocking the Platinum trophy.

Infallible asks you to “Win 5 Episodes in a row”, with Episodes basically meaning matches in the TV world of Fall Guys. This might not sound too hard on paper, but anyone who knows the lunacy of Fall Guys will understand just how luck-based and frustrating this may be.

A lot of your success in claiming the crown in Fall Guys comes down to good old-fashioned luck. There are 59 other jelly beans that want to push you out of the way in a single match, so it doesn’t matter that much if you’re “good” at the game — a jelly bean army could kill us all. There are also team rounds, which means that you are at the mercy of roughly a dozen randoms.

The official Twitter account for Fall Guys does seem to recognise the issue, and doesn’t seem to give any hecks about it.

Honestly, this may be the hardest Platinum trophy on PlayStation 4 — it may even give The Long Dark’s infamously masochistic Plat a good run for its money.

A sense of challenge for a Platinum is understandable, but the guys at Mediatonic may have gone slightly overboard in the eyes of completionists. There are 70 trophies in total and you can bet that this will be the most troublesome. Honestly, they should just remove it and be left with 69. Because obviously.

It’s not out of the question that they will update the trophy list sometime down the line, of course. Rainbow Six Siege had a bad trophy list that was an incredible grind, but Ubisoft eventually switched it up to make it more manageable.
