EVOLVE’s 10 Year Anniversary Show To Stream On WWE Network

NXT's developmental brand is getting a huge nod of appreciation.

EVOLVE

WWE announced yesterday evening that subsidiary company EVOLVE’s 10 year anniversary special will stream live on the WWE Network on July 13th. EVOLVE has been the stomping ground for many of NXT and WWE stars, including a few alumni that will be making a one-off appearance as part of the network special this weekend.

Matt Riddle is set to do battle with fellow submission specialist and current Cruiserweight Champion, Drew Gulak, in the show’s main event. Current NXT champion Adam Cole will also be stepping into the EVOLVE ring, as he goes one on one with Akira Tozawa, in his return match. The show will also feature some of the brightest stars from EVOLVE’s roster, including; Eddie Kingston, Joe Gacy and current EVOLVE champion, Austin Theory. All stars that we’ll surely see breakout onto the NXT roster in the near future.

This truly is a lovely gesture on WWE’s behalf, giving a nod of appreciation to the brand that has produced some of NXT’s biggest homegrown talents. With a few weeks left to go before EVOLVE’s biggest event to date, I’m sure there’ll be another few special guest appearances thrown in to help make this the brand’s coming-out party. Fans who are looking for a new alternative to WWE might just find what they’re looking for in this network special.
