Epic Games Giving Fortnite Players Free Battle Stars Following Technical Issues

It’s been a rough time to be a Fortnite player since the map update. While the early goings were good, an overload on the database has meant playing it has been like pulling teeth with building bugs, choppy framerates, and partying up becoming impossible for some. It went into a period of extended downtime as a result.

With a lot of unhappy players to contend with, Epic Games have revealed a peace offering of 20 Battle Stars towards Battle Pass progression for Battle Royale players while Save the World veterans can look forward to 1600 Seasonal Gold when version 2.4.0 rolls out.

It’s not ideal that one of the biggest games in the world right now has been suffering with the basics, but considering how Epic are absorbing other teams from other projects to deal with demand, at least there isn’t a long waiting time until things are fixed.
