ZeniMax Online Studios and Bethesda have announced that their MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online will be getting a free play weekend starting from tomorrow, in commemoration of their 10 Million Stories event.

The event invites new players to join the 10 million players already a part of The Elder Scrolls Online to explore Tamriel and create their own legend. The free play period will last from November 30th until December 6th, so it’s not even a weekend. It’s a free play week, go nuts. The event is for PS4 and PC/Mac players (sorry Xbox One), and PS4 players will of course need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play.

If you’re making a new ESO account, you’ll be gifted 500 Crowns which can used to get a headstart with useful items and whatnot. If you’ve played ESO before during a separate free play event, your account and characters should still be waiting for you. Also, like all good free play events, your characters and progression will carry over if you decide to upgrade to the full game. If you are planning on signing up, be sure to clear a hefty 80GB of space. It’s a BIG game.

But that’s not all. ESO is running a Dungeon event during this period, which will give players in-game rewards for completing random dungeons via the Dungeon Finder system. Even better, you can enter the #10MillionStories sweepstakes to earn in-game and real life prizes, and completing a dungeon a day gives you additional entries into the competition. It pays to play. Check out the official site for more details.

Will you be joining the 10 million players who call Tamriel home? Sound off in the comments below.
