The official Elden Ring Twitter account has announced that there will be a 15 minute preview of Elden Ring on November 4th at 3PM CET / 7 AM PDT. The preview will be streamed on publisher Bandai Namco US’ Twitch channel and Bandai Namco Europe’s YouTube channel.

Elden Ring, the latest game from Dark Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro developer FromSoftware, was scheduled to release in January of 2022, before recently being delayed to February 25th, 2022.

Elden Ring is also notable for bringing the tried-and-true brutal Souls gameplay formula to an open world. It remains to be seen how FromSoftware’s trademark punishing difficulty and razor’s edge combat will fit into an open world as opposed to the usual tightly designed, interlocking areas of their previous games.

The preview event will likely give us a better sense of how Elden Ring mixes all of its disparate elements, as well as a protracted look at this new world’s grotesque monsters and enemy design, another hallmark of the series.

George R.R. Martin, author of the Song of Ice and Fire series, also contributed to Elden Ring’s narrative, an element that, while rich and complex, has usually been relegated to the fringes of Souls games, hiding in environmental storytelling and item descriptions.

Elden Ring will launch on February 25th, 2022, for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
