Elden Ring is the biggest FromSoftware game to date with a massive world in the Lands Between that you can quite easily get lost in without the help of a map.
Luckily, it’s a lot easier to find maps than you may first think.
To find maps in Elden Ring in a new area, simply begin exploring until some of the “fog” clears on your map, then look for the following symbol.

Clamber on top of Torrent, then ride over until you come across what looks like a plinth. You will find a map at the base of it. Collect it and then you will find that your map for that region has been filled in.
Bear in mind that Elden Ring doesn’t fill in all of the blanks of what exactly is where, so you will have to keep your own notes and make full use of the marker system on the map to remember where specific characters and quests are.
Elden Ring is available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X & S, and Xbox One.
