Elden Ring: How to Climb the Divine Tower of Caelid

Divine Tower of Caelid

The Divine Tower of Caelid is a dungeon in Elden Ring that is particularly tricky to figure out how to enter. You’ll need to strap on your climbing shoes for this one because it’s a bit of a hike to get to the boss, Godskin Apostle, waiting in the basement here.

Start by heading to Dragonbarrow West Site of Grace.

From here, you should see the Divine Tower in the northeast. Call Torrent and start riding toward the gnarled tree branch that reaches up toward the tower and jump on it. Don’t be afraid as the branch has a lot more traction than you might expect.

From the top of the branch, you can ready yourself to jump down to the guard and ladder. Take the guard out or just proceed to climb the ladder as he won’t bother to follow you.

Once at the top, you want to head left and stand on the ledge right before the broken piece. To make this easier, call Torrent and use his double jump to hop over these missing sections.

Proceed along the ledge to the next platform where a guard is sitting right around the corner. Dismount from Torrent before taking the corner so you’re prepared to fight. Once the guard is dispatched, call Torrent again and work your way across the next tiny ledge. You should see another ladder here — climb up and touch the Divine Tower of Caelid Center Site of Grace.

Now, if you came to use Radahn’s Great Rune, you can head right up the stairs and push open the giant doors to your left. Take the lift in the middle of the room, walk up the remaining stairs, and you can charge the Great Rune in the middle of the summit of the tower.

However, the fight isn’t over yet because now you need to climb down the tower to reach the boss. Take the stairs down from the Site of Grace and come across two guards. Once they have been dealt with, look over the ledge. You should see thin buttresses reaching around. You’ll be working your way down these.

Jump down to the first one and hug the wall to the right to get in position for the next buttress. This one has a tiny break in it.

Jump just beyond the break from where you are and the buttress will fall, bringing you along with it. Don’t worry, you’ll survive this fall as long as you don’t try to save yourself.

Move forward to get back to even footing and look around. You’ll see another slightly larger buttress right beneath you.

Jump down to that ledge and look around for an octagonal platform just big enough to stand on. Press forward gently and fall right on top of this space.

You’ll see some smaller buttresses that you’ll need to hop across.

Once you reach the second one, turn left and see an even thinner buttress and jump down to that one. Turn around, jump across the chasm to the second to last buttress.

Now, take a breather cause the last jump is the most nerve-racking. Hugging the wall, proceed along the right of the column until you come across a wooden beam.

Your final challenge is to trust us. Far down below, you should see another buttress next to a metal cage.

Don’t jump to the cage, the wooden beam, or the octagonal platform. Instead, take a leap of faith for that last buttress. You shouldn’t even take a hit to your stamina bar. Ride the cage down and touch the Divine Tower of Caelid Basement Site of Grace.

Now you can take it easy and prepare to fight Godskin Apostle a little ways further down the hall.
