E3 2016: Trey Parker and Matt Stone Reveal Opening Gameplay for South Park: The Fractured But Whole

This might be an unpopular opinion, but I loved Stick of Truth, and I can’t wait to see how The Fractures But Whole. Thanks to Ubisoft, we have our first taste, as they brought showrunners Trey Parker and Matt Stone on to do a kind of interview/preview-ish thing. Interspersed with short chats with the pair, snippets of early segments of the game were shown, including the character selection, character backstory, (vastly improved looking) combat, and a dramatic upgrade to the fart system.

This is all really promising. If I had one gripe about Stick of Truth it’s that it understood plot far better than gameplay, but this seems far better balanced, Parker and Stone are learning. They closed out with a tantalising offer of a free copy of Stick of Truth for anyone who preorders the new one, and a release date (December 6th). Frankly, I can’t wait.
