Dying Light 2: How To Unlock The GRE Detector

GRE Detector
GRE Detector

The GRE Detector in Dying Light 2 is a nightrunner tool that is used to locate hidden Inhibitors across The City.

To unlock the GRE Detector, players must get to the Broadcast story quest at the VNC Tower, with Rowe giving you the tool about halfway through it. Getting to this point in the game amounts to 25-30 hours of gameplay, give or take, just depending on how much of the side content you get through.

In order to make the Detector more useful, make sure you activate Radio Towers, which more often than not are on some of The City’s tallest buildings. Once activated, all the Inhibitor containers within that zone will then be marked on your map.

Inhibitors are used to increase your max health and stamina, with three inhibitors needed to increase each level.

Dying Light 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X | S.
