Last month, Codemasters announced that Dirt 5 would be receiving a short delay of a week, from October 9th to October 16th, but today they’ve announced that Dirt 5 will be delayed once again. The game will be launching on November 6th on PC, PS4 and Xbox One, with the next-gen release launching afterwards.

In a press release regarding the announcement, Codemasters state that the “revised launch date will allow Codemasters to release all versions of the game in a shorter timeframe, with the next generation of console launches expected for the holiday season”. Frank Sagnier, CEO at Codemasters, adds: “The revised launch date will allow us to take advantage of the next generation console launches which are expected in time for the holiday season.”

The Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 versions will be available by the end of the year, while a Google Stadia version is set to launch in early 2021. Those who purchase the Amplified Edition of the game will still receive their 3-day early access, meaning they’ll be able to play the game from November 3rd. If you purchase Dirt 5 on PS4 or Xbox One, you’ll receive a free next-gen upgrade for your respective console family. Will you be purchasing Dirt 5 when it launches this November? Sound off in the comments.
