Dirt 5

Codemasters have shared a closer look at the PS5 version of DIRT 5, the off-road arcade racer which is already available on current-gen consoles.

Check out the video above for DIRT 5, in which David Springate, technical director on DIRT 5, sings the praises of the DualSense and the PS5 as a system.

DIRT 5 PS5 Features

DIRT 5 will support 120fps/hz on PS5 just like X, though no mention if it will hit 4K simultaneously. There will be faster loading times through the PS5 thanks to its SSD, compared to the PS4.

Springate also mentioned the feedback feartures of the DualSense, how its adaptive triggers change the game completely and allow you to “feel the world how we want you to feel it”. He even says that picking up the controller always “puts a big smile on his face”.

Wrapping things up, Spingate also bigged up the PlayStation 5’s Tempest engine, which he thinks will revolutionise the sound even with basic headphones.

DIRT 5 PS5 Release Date

DIRT 5 will launch on November 12th for PS5 as a launch title in the US and selected countries, November 19th in the rest of the world. If you already own DIRT 5 on a prior generation, you can upgrade to the next-gen version free of charge.
