EA and BioWare have recently released details surrounding the ten hours of free trial gameplay for Mass Effect: Andromeda, which will be available on EA Access from March 16.

According to Mass Effect: Andromeda’s producer, Fernando Melo, the content will be “gated” so that you cannot access the story after a certain point. You can, however, play the entire thing in single player, and restart as many times as you like. Exploration will also only be limited in terms of geography and not exploration; for example, you will only be allowed to venture as far as a certain planet, but you can explore that planet as much as you like.

As well as single player, multiplayer options will be available to you, including the Mass Effect: Andromeda “Missions” which have been described as the “link” between singleplayer and multiplayer modes, where you can earn rewards by completing in-game tasks.

Trial saves will also reportedly carry over to the full game upon its release on March 21, so you can carry right on from where you left off with your space exploration and/or alien fancying.

EA Access currently costs £3.99 GBP a month or £19.99 GBP a year, and is available on Xbox One and PC, so, as with all other early access titles, PS4 owners will be missing out this time around.
