Deathloop features two main characters: Colt and Julianna. Players will start off as Colt as he looks to break the loop before eventually unlocking the ability to play as Julianna.
To play as Julianna in Deathloop, you must first have made about an hour or so’s worth of progress through the story as Cole. It’s all very simple stuff that will culminate in you coming across the LPP as part of The Longest Day mission.
Once that’s completed, return to the main menu (your current loop progress with Colt will be saved, don’t worry) and then select Protect the Loop. Select Invade Random Timeline to match against a random player, or Invade Friend’s Timeline to try and ruin their day, as long as they have their matchmaking status (top left) set to Friends Only.
Note: both of you must have completed The Longest Day mission, and whoever’s playing as Colt must be playing on one of the following maps with Visionary targets at specific times of day:
Morning – Karl’s Bay
Morning – Fristad Rock
Noon – Updaam
Noon – Fristad Rock
Afternoon – The Complex
Evening – The Complex
Evening – Updaam
Don’t forget that you can fast forward time periods while playing as Colt to get to a specific time of day.
As long as you meet all these criteria, you will be able to play as Julianna in Deathloop with others, as well as unlock new outfits for both characters. Happy hunting.
