Dead Rising 4 Coming To PS4 In December

Dead Rising 4

Despite being as dead to series fans as the zombies that you mow down, Dead Rising 4 is getting a second lease of life on PlayStation 4.

Releasing this December, Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package will feature the main game and all of its DLC, as well as a new mode called “Capcom Heroes”, which will allow Frank to wear special Capcom-centric costumes and pull off related attacks.

A timed exclusive for Xbox One, Dead Rising 4 released to widespread critical and commercial shrugging with many criticising its slimmed down approach to the Dead Rising we’ve seen over the past decade. I wasn’t exactly a fan of it at launch:

“Good for some zombie-killing catharsis, disappointing and lightweight almost everywhere else, Dead Rising 4 is a naive attempt at streamlining the Dead Rising experience that ultimately comes up short.”

Here’s all the content the PS4 version will bring:

Dead Rising 4 – Latest version of the main game with all difficulty settings.
All downloadable content – Stocking Stuffer Holiday Pack, Frank Rising and Super Ultra Dead Rising 4 Mini Golf.
All bonus content – Street Fighter Outfit Pack, My Bloody Valentine Pack, Candy Cane Crossbow, Slicecycle, Sir-Ice-A-Lot, Ugly Winter Sweater and X-Fists.”

Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package will launch on PS4 on December 5, 2017, which is just in time for Christmas — the game will be somewhat relevant again, right? And heck, at least PS4 players will be able to play the actual ending without having to pay extra on top.
