The UK game sales figures for the last week are in, and it’s been a successful launch for the PS4 exclusive Days Gone, as it’s managed to secure the biggest physical launch of the year so far. Though the launch sales of Days Gone don’t quite beat the likes of Spider-Man or God of War, it still managed to trump the likes of Devil May Cry 5, Resident Evil 2, Kingdom Hearts 3 and more.
Elsewhere in last week’s sales chart, Mortal Kombat 11 debuted at number 2, though it did manage to secure a slightly better physical launch than NetherRealm’s previous game Injustice 2. Last week’s number 1 World War Z has dropped down to 10th, but with over 1 million units sold worldwide on its first week alone, World War Z has been a success story unto itself.
Perhaps most interesting is the fact that GTA V, a game that’ll be celebrating its sixth birthday this year, still manages to perform so well on the UK physical chart, occupying the 11th spot ahead of more recent releases like Anthem, Metro Exodus and more. Rockstar’s crime simulator experience is practically eternal at this point.
