Keelworks, a two-man team with experience of working at Pixar, have announced CYGNI: All Guns Blazing, a twin-stick shooter that will be arriving on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
Due for release on PC and Mac in 2021, the current (PS4 and Xbox One) and next-gen versions will arrive sometime after.

Keelworks are going for the old-school twin-stick action many love, just with an updated aesthetic and some Hollywood flair. It will also feature a “full orchestral score and immersive sound design”, as well as “gargantuan enemies in cinematically epic boss battles”.
CYGNI’s work with the Unreal Engine certainly impressed Epic Games, who gave them funding as part of their Epic MegaGrants.
This is, for some reason, really bringing to mind Resogun, even if they only share a few similarities. There aren’t enough big twin-stick shooters getting made these days, especially with Housemarque changing tact, so hopefully CYGNI can fill that void.
