Jacob and Taylor are a pair of mischief makers you will encounter early on in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty as part of the Lucretia My Reflection main quest that sees you escorting President Myers into a derelict building in Dogtown. The choice is left up to you as to how you proceed with them: Do you start blasting and protect the president, or wait and hear what they have to say?
If you kill Jacob and Taylor (which will be pretty easy if you have anything but your bare fists), there won’t be any long-term repercussions and both will be sent down the laundry chute after you loot them to dispose of their bodies. We couldn’t find anything major on them, just a DB-2 Testera shotgun on Taylor, though you may find something else that we missed.
If you spare Jacob and Taylor, you will form an alliance and start working together, with both of them staying with you overnight to help guard Myers. You can chat to them briefly to discover a little bit more about their backstories, though Jacob is the far more talkative of the duo. Come morning, Jacob will have left to wait just outside the building. Here, he will explain how the game’s airdrops work, which give you special loot if you’re able to reach them.
The pair will stay with you for a little while until Barghest invade the building in a later mission after you first make contact with Reed, after which they will both die trying to protect the president. That’s a shame, as they both seemed like two of the only good people in the whole of Dogtown, but Night City really isn’t a city made for good people.
