As one of the most ambitious games ever made, it shouldn’t be a surprise that Cyberpunk 2077 also has one of the deepest character creators seen to date, ever. As well as being able to change skin tone and define your chin to make your V look like the perfect Handsome Squidward, you have a huge array of different hairstyles to pick from. But is there any way to change your hairstyle in Cyberpunk 2077 once you’ve confirmed everything?

The short answer? No, you cannot change hairstyles at any point in Cyberpunk 2077.

This is a great shame, made worse by the fact that the game doesn’t even warn you that your selection is final in the creator. There are no barbers or hairdressers in Night City, the only way you can change your clothes at all is to buy different clothes. You can’t change your facial hair either, so if you have a big bushy beard at the start of the game, you’re stuck with it for the rest of the game.

This doesn’t mean that you will never be able to change your hairstyle and facial hair in Cyberpunk 2077, it seems like a mechanic that was cut to save time. In The Witcher 3, players could visit barbers and some limited style options, but could then also download DLC to get more hairstyles.

CD Projekt Red have a lot of work on their hands with Cyberpunk at this time of writing, so watch this space and we may be able to give our characters the most beautiful mullets in-game at some point in the future.

Cyberpunk 2077 is available now for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Stadia.
