The hierarchy of WWE‘s deep roster is based on 20 championship belts that are competed for on a regular basis. These championships, or ‘titles’, are divided across five unique brands, each featuring its own exclusive roster of superstars. The championships are often defended at pay-per-view events or on special episodes of weekly TV.

There are three other WWE championship titles that are regularly defended across all five brands. Where the champions are tied to a specific brand’s roster, the titles can be won by members of other rosters at cross-branded events.
