Crash Bandicoot’s Aku Aku Enchants His First 4 Figures Statue

The Crash Bandicoot franchise had fallen completely off the radar in recent years, but that all changed with the release of the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy compilation back in June. And while it remains to be seen how long the jumping marsupial’s comeback will last, but First 4 Figures are helping to keep Activision’s franchise in the limelight with their new Aku Aku statue.

In the series, Aku Aku is a wooden mask possessed by the spirit of a deceased witch doctor. He’s become a favorite among fans of the series, so the statue, which will be available in three variants, will probably sell out pretty quickly. The three editions are as follows: standard, limited, and gold.

The statue stands at 65cm and measures at 43cm across, with the limited and gold variants including LED lights with make his eyes glow. And let’s face it, with the standard variant valued at $384.99, this is one gift we probably won’t be giving to our friends this year. If you are a hardcore fan and you desperately want to get your hands on Aku Aku, you had better start start saving their pennies.

As with most First 4 Figures products, a feature length documentary detailing the creation of the Aku Aku statue has been uploaded to YouTube. This time, the doc runs for an impressive 66 minutes, and it’s been embedded below.
