Chuck Palahniuk’s Books Become Gig Posters

Chuck Palahniuk, cult author of numerous cult classic novels, and one particular book that we are not supposed to talk about. That same book spawned a cult classic film, that has since become so much more. Once again, in spite of the fact that we are not supposed to talk about it. There’s been some definite rule breaking going on.

Anyway, that aside, Chuck Palahniuk is a widely, and continuously so, successful author. His writing though, and his stories, and his themes, are riddled with subversive, the alternative, the underground, and unorthodox. Those are cult qualities through and through, plus given the ardent fan base he boasts, he may as well take cult status a step further and start a cult. For all we know, he already has, just no one is talking about.

And fuck me I have the said the word cult so many times it has lost all meaning, but I’m going to say it just a little bit more, and I promise I will make no more no talking about Fight Club jokes. Fuck you, I’m a hack. Anyhoo, the point of my meanderings here are to direct your attention to artist/illustrator Paulo Correa. Whose work you can check out HERE might I add. I draw your attention to him today though, post-Palahniuk ramblings, because Correa has gone and taken on the task of transferring cult literature into another cult anomaly; the lowbrow gig poster of the calibre that stoner/psych/doom bands in particular fucking love. Have a butcher’s below at how Correa has managed to capture the spirit of the novels and those very gig posters that inspired him. They’re ripe for student rooms all over the place.
