Call of Duty: WWII Beta Details Revealed

Call of Duty: WWII

Activision revealed a brand new trailer for Call of Duty: WWII multiplayer beta coming on August 25th on PS4. The video unveiled many gameplay sequences and some of the features contained in the private beta, including the new “War Mode” and the “Divisions”. Sledgehammer Games put an update on their website to clarify the features that will be present in the beta.

The two most prominent new features are the aforementioned “War Mode” and the “Divisions”. The former already had its own trailer revealed a couple of months ago and is based merely on an Allied vs. Axis confrontation in large objective-based scenarios. The “Divisions,” meanwhile, are stated to replace the Create-a-Class system, giving you a starting point for character progression in different battlefield specialties. Players will have five groups to choose from: Infantry, Expeditionary, Airborne, Armored and Mountain Division. Don’t worry, Sledgehammer Games has stated: “You are not limited to any one division, and we encourage you to try them all!”

This beta will mainly be a test for the game’s gameplay and online servers. The testing will be private for players who pre-ordered the game and will be in 2 phases: From August 25th to 28th on PS4 only, and from September 1st to 4th on PS4 and Xbox One.

Call of Duty: WWII is set to release on November 3rd on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
