Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Now Available Through Xbox One Backwards Compatibility

Black Ops 2

People have been clamouring for it for weeks, and it looks like it was accidentally revealed during the promotion for Xbox’s Spring Sale, but Microsoft have just confirmed that Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 is now available through Xbox One backwards compatibility.

Announced by Will Tuttle on the Xbox blog, this marks a big achievement for the console:

“The Xbox 360 hits keep coming thanks to the Xbox One Backward Compatibility program, and today we’ve got one of the biggest hits of all: Call of Duty: Black Ops II is now playable on Xbox One via Backward Compatibility. This blockbuster joins more than 350 Xbox 360 classics available on Xbox One. We’re thrilled with the continued excitement for the program and ongoing engagement of our fans, who have played more than 360 million hours of Xbox 360 games on Xbox One.”

If you own Black Ops 2 already on 360, there is no extra cost to you. However, if you don’t and want to pick it up, it costs 50% less and 60% less for Xbox Live Gold Members through April 17 as part of the Easter Sale.
